bernadette trainor | jewellery, objects & sculpture

Bernadette had to complete a degree in interior design to realise she didn't want to be an interior designer. While studying for an advanced diploma in jewellery and object design, Bernadette discovered a love of carving. She currently fills her spare time experimenting with different kinds of timber to use in jewellery and sculptural objects, and wax for cast silver jewellery.

Bernadette prefers to focus on one-off pieces and small series for exhibition, rather than making production jewellery. Her works often use contrasting materials and colours, and she likes to create pieces that suggest a narrative.

She can sometimes be seen as one half of design partnership, skullbulb, with Tenille Evans. Bernadette is easily distracted and likes little gates and feature bricks.
